The role of commonly used automotive testing instruments
Automotive multimeter
Automotive multimeter is mainly used to detect parameters such as DC current intensity, DC voltage, AC voltage and wire resistance, and can also be used to detect revolving speed, dwell angle, duty cycle (bandwidth ratio), frequency, pressure, time, capacitance, inductance, semiconductor components and temperature, etc.
Pressure gauge
The pressure gauge is used to measure the pressure of gas or liquid in containers, pipelines and equipment, and is one of the instruments widely used by automotive maintenance enterprises. The pressure gauge is generally composed of a pressure gauge with a range, a connecting hose, a one-way intake valve and a replaceable joint suitable for various models.
Test lamp
The test lamp is used to check whether the power supply circuit of the system provides power to the electrical components. It can perform open circuit inspection and short circuit inspection. The commonly used types include 12V test lamp, self-contained power test lamp, etc.
Oscilloscope is mainly used to trigger and acquire signals (waveforms), zoom and locate waveforms, and measure waveforms. In the automotive maintenance, it is very useful for ignition system detection, exhaust emission analysis and parts quality control. While using the oscilloscope may require access to other parts of the system, to avoid potential hazards, special attention should be paid to electrostatic discharge (ESD) that can damage the oscilloscope and its accessories. In order to prevent electrostatic discharge, when installing or removing sensitive components, you should wear an anti-static grounding wrist strap to release your own static voltage.
The portable engine ECU tester is mainly used to dynamically test the parameters of the engine ECU. This tester is very convenient to use, small in size and light in weight. The testing instrument is generally equipped with fault diagnosis interface. It is only necessary to connect the diagnosis interface to the fault diagnosis socket in the engine compartment or under the instrument panel, and then operate the key commands on the control panel of the testing instrument to test the sensor, actuator and its circuit of engine electronic control system.
Nitrogen generator can be divided into three methods: low temperature nitrogen production, membrane separation nitrogen production and molecular sieve nitrogen production, all of which are from the air using physical methods. Next, I will explain the common hidden dangers and solutions of nitrogen generator.
Common hidden dangers and solutions of nitrogen generator
Because the PLC of the nitrogen generator may be wrongly activated, before starting maintenance work, the main power supply to all nitrogen generator must be turned off.
Since the gas in the entire nitrogen production system is under pressure, it is necessary to prevent the impact of the pressurized gas from increasing the slag. In the exhaust ports of air compressor, freeze dryer, gas drying equipment, nitrogen generator and nitrogen purification equipment, the connections in the middle of the whole system must always be reliably sealed and must be trusted by the equipment supplier to prevent leakage or explosion, personal injury, death or property damage.
The exhaust gas emitted by nitrogen generator is concentrated oxygen, which can easily cause fire. Ignition sources must be eliminated.
High-purity nitrogen is an inert gas that can breathe air or oxygen, and in the sealed environment, it is easy for people to breathe without oxygen. Avoid personal injury or death in the sealed environment.
Since the entire nitrogen generator uses 380V or 220V power supply, please pay attention to electricity!
